the masses, another big web event happened today, the relaunch of healthcare.gov day two. it marks the official restart of the obama care era and the day the window finally closed for good for republicans trying to kill the thing. from the day obama was elected president, republicans have been determined to block health care reform. they got scott brown elected. they took the law all the way to the supreme court, voted dozens of times to defund or repeal it, shut down the government for 16 days, and obama care survived all of it. irony is that while republicans couldn't kill obama care, the administration almost could. >> good evening. president obama now finds himself compared to president george w. bush, as in the problems with the health care plan have become president obama's katrina. >> but today, the website is now fixed enough that it looks like obama care is really here to stay. the repeal strategy is dead and obama care is out of the icu. according to the administration, the error message rate for the front end of the website is less than 1%. that's down from about 6% last

been demanding answers of this administration, wanting to know, you're touting this improved healthcare.gov. how does the system work without a payment mechanism? there is no cash register. what would make the insurance companies actually provide coverage when they haven't been paid? we reported this to you last night. without a way to get payment to those companies how are people going to actually get coverage? so now tonight, at 8:00 p.m., get a report with an answer from reuters news. the administration is going to let the insurance companies estimate what they should get. and then the feds are going to cut them a big check and figure out later what the real amounts are supposed to be. that is your money, that is your money. they're going to do a back in the envelope, i think it is this. and then the feds are going to pay it. think about that for a moment. think about that. we're talking about one sixth of the u.s. economy, and this is the system they have now settled on, privately, late in the evening. and then consider what the president said just this afternoon. >> the bottom line

with healthcare.gov. they now say that the site fails just about 10 percent of the time. back in october that failure rate was 25%. government officials also say over three and a half million consumers visited the site from midnight sunday antonin today, but the obama administration still will not tell us what the november enrollment numbers are or how many people actually have insurance. insurers are still complaining that the healthcare applications that they do receive are riddled with errors. and the house energy and commerce committee releasing new e-mails showing that administration officials knew that they need to delay the health care exchange for small businesses as early as august, but it was not until six weeks later on september 26 that the administration actually announced that it was delaying the on-line portal for small business. energy and commerce committee chairman fred upton said, about that revelation, as the paper trail broadens, we see more and more evidence that the administration was fully aware. its signature health care law was not ready for prime time. the docu
